REALER THAN REAL
(Alt. Title: MELTED LIKE SNOW)
This feature length stage drama takes place in a world much like our own, except that events occurring within the soul manifest themselves into tangible objects of the physical world, often to an exaggerated degree. Gabriel, a young medical student, becomes so obsessed with success, that he cuts himself off from his emotions and literally becomes a robot, complete with metallic skin and electric circuits. Meanwhile, his father gets downsized by his fifty-foot-tall boss. Can this family survive? Will they stay true to themselves and each other? Hopefully, you will come to see the revival and find out.
This play was my first production. It was an Equity Approved Staged Reading with stag effects for a one-night-only performance at The Producers’ Club.
THE STORY OF DAN, FRAN, JAN, AND STAN IN A BAR CALLED PETER PAN
This five-minute stage comedy short depicts the city singles scene and is composed entirely in rhyme, right down to the stage directions.
SCALPER
Five-minute stage comedy short. A day in the life of a strap-hanging ticket scalper.
THE FLEDGLING
This ten-minute stage drama short is political correctness gone awry when a young orphan is ripped from his foster parents so he could “ be with his own kind “ even though no additional foster parents have been found to claim him. Loosely based on actual events.
Cry of the Western World and Other Poems
This is a book of poetry with themes ranging from politics and spirituality to love, death, nature and travel. It was published on a small scale in 2000 and briefly carried by St. Mark’s Books. A second printing is in the near future.
